Sensory Hour at Alter Aerial is a semi-private, low-stimulation time designed for neurodiverse children and families with special needs. The environment is intentionally calming and low-structure — perfect for self-guided exploration, play, or structured therapy time with an aide, caregiver, or therapist.

The studio is transformed into a sensory-friendly sanctuary featuring:

• Dim, peaceful lighting to reduce overstimulation
• Soothing background sounds
• A cocoon-style hammock swing with a crash mat for calming motion and vestibular input
• Tactile sensory toys including squishies, soft blocks, and cozy comfort items

We welcome families to bring any preferred toys, AAC devices, or assistive technology that help support their child’s individual needs.

Sensory Hour is intended for children under 18, but we understand that every individual is different — if your child is outside of this age range and could benefit from the space, please reach out to discuss accommodations.

➤ Pricing is per participating child. Each child is welcome to bring a parent, caregiver, or sibling at no additional cost.

Parents or caregivers must supervise their child during the session, and the studio owner will be on-site at all times to ensure the space remains safe, supportive, and serene.

This is a judgment-free, stress-free zone where your child can just be themselves.
