Studio Policies

To help keep classes running smoothly and maintain a safe, organized environment for everyone, the following policies apply to all students at Alter Aerial.

1. Class Cancellation

Classes must be canceled at least 6 hours before class to receive the credit back. All cancellations must be made through Vagaro. Direct messages on socials, texts or phone calls to the studio about cancellations will only be considered courtesy and not an official cancellation reflecting in your account.

Late cancellations forfeit the class credit. 

 

2. No-Shows

If you do not attend a booked class:

• Members are charged a $20 no-show fee
• Drop-in students lose the class credit

 

3. Booking Classes

All students must book their own classes through Vagaro.

Studio staff cannot manually book classes for clients. For help booking, refer to our website alteraerial.com under the HELP menu option. If more assistance is necessary, you can write alteraerial@gmail.com and expect a response within 24-48 hrs.  

 

4. Membership Management

Members are responsible for managing their own memberships through Vagaro.

This includes canceling, pausing, or resuming memberships.   For help managing your own account, refer to our website alteraerial.com under the HELP menu option. If more assistance is necessary, you can write alteraerial@gmail.com and expect a response within 24-48 hrs.

 

5. Package Expiration

Class packages purchased after 3/11/2026  expire 3 months from the purchase date.

Unused classes do not roll over beyond the expiration date.

 

6. Late Arrival

After 15 minutes, the front door to the studio will be locked for safety reasons. The instructor will be teaching, therefore not answering any non-emergency calls or texts. Your class will be considered missed.

Missed classes due to late arrival follow the cancellation policy.

 

7. Open Studio

Open studio includes access to pre-rigged apparatus only.

Additional apparatus rigging is not available during open studio. For specialized apparatuses, please book during the weekend where specialized apparatuses are available.
Standard weekday open studio is limited to: silks, spiral, hoop and hammock.

Specialty weekend open studio is open for RYO (rig your own) and specialty apparatuses within the studio.

 

8. Guests & Spectators

All individuals in the studio must have their own booking at least an hour before joining class. 

Friends or spectators who have not booked a spot are not permitted. This is to ensure the comfort and safety of other students in the studio.

 

9. Instructor Safety Discretion

Instructors may modify or restrict participation in certain skills for safety.

 

10. No Open Studio Instructing 

Open studio is intended for independent practice only. Students may not teach, coach, or instruct other students during open studio sessions. Only approved Alter Aerial instructors are permitted to provide instruction in the studio.

Students are welcome to share space, practice skills independently, and train alongside one another, but structured teaching or skill instruction is not permitted.
 

11. Studio Etiquette

Students must follow instructor guidance and avoid attempting skills beyond their current level without approval.

 

12.Communications

Our social media accounts are managed by the Alter Aerial media team and are used for announcements, studio updates, and community content.

For class bookings, account support, or studio-related questions, please use the appropriate channels:

Class scheduling and account assistance are not handled through social media messages.

 

13. Health & Injury Disclosure 

Students must inform instructors of any injuries, medical conditions, or physical limitations before participating.

 

14. Right to Refuse Service

Alter Aerial reserves the right to refuse service or remove individuals who violate studio policies or create an unsafe environment.

15. Membership Usage

Memberships provide a set number of classes per billing cycle. Classes included in a membership (after 3/11/2026) must be used within the billing cycle and do not roll over to future months.

Unused classes expire at the end of the billing period. To use all classes, membership must be active.

 

15. Policy Agreement

By booking a class or purchasing services, students agree to all studio policies. By booking a class or purchasing services, students agree to sign all waivers. No waiver = No class
